I have developed this checklist over the years and it is always a work in progress.
The original document came from the SLCC but I have adapted it and expanded on it over the years.
I try to run two years so that I can add things to the list for next year when I’m doing it this year.
I always put at the beginning of every month the date of the meeting, when I will want agenda items by (usually two weeks before the meeting) and when I intend to put the agenda up as this gives me dates to work to. The date when I want agenda items and the meeting dates are then published on the PC website and in the village publications.
At the end of the document is my list for ‘if I got run over by a bus’. I’m always adding to it and changing things, but it’s a good place to start and it should give you enough food for thought.
It is saved in the file area with my agenda, but I have a ‘0’ at the beginning of the file name so that it’s always at the top of the list.
I try to keep it open when I’m doing PC work so that I can add to it and check it regularly.
